It’s been a while since I’ve last been to an anime convention. In fact, my last convention experience was actually last year’s Anime Boston. I wanted to attend more since then but the ones I wanted to attend were in the summer and I most certainly did not have money to spare that season (job hunting will do that to you). Oh well, at least I’m back to Anime Boston this weekend. This will be my ninth year going!
The nice thing about this year is that it’s conveniently on the tail end of my April vacation. I made last year work but that was a little hectic as the con was in the middle of my education practicum. Hell, I literally carpooled and took the train to Boston right after student teaching so I could pick up my badge. Thank goodness I don’t have to deal with that this year. Today was just picking up my badge and it was great. I even met up with friends at the Hynnes Convention Center and that’s always a plus for me.
That’s all for now, folks. Expect more AB-related posts this weekend. Obviously, this will slow down my regular blogging (well, slow it down more than usual…) but I’ll still try to chip away at the First Impressions and other drafts I’ve been working on whenever I can.
Thanks for reading!
