Happy Valentine’s Day, everybody! I imagine the timing of this post is off depending on where you live (it’s late evening as I write this) but that’s what happens when you’re busy with student teaching on a weekday. Still, I hope everyone’s been having a good time whether or not you are or have been celebrating Valentine’s. I simply wish you all the best.
As some of you may know, I really like sharing some of the official holiday-themed art that pops up during these special occasions. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to go art hunting on the internet today because, as I mentioned, it’s been a busy day. But in the spirit of my previous holiday posts and my refusal to stop posting about Princess Principal (season 2 when?), I did check on the anime’s official twitter and lo and behold:
You know, judging from an ANN interview with the director, Masaki Tachibana, I don’t think the whole Ange x Princess ship was ever intended. That said, this art really makes me think that the staff behind Princess Principal has become quite keen on the idea. You can’t get any cheekier than posting art of a popular shipping on Valentine’s Day.
