Here’s an early and very brief look at how Spring 2020’s anime is doing for me. For the time in a little over a year, this is the first season where I’m actually up to date to the broadcast schedule. Yay.

As some of you know, this season has the misfortune of being struck with delays due to the Coronavirus pandemic forcing studios to close down. It was inevitable and the right call to make but man, it really goes to show how last minute anime production can get. One has to wonder what the plan is once production resumes. Broadcasting as normal will become an issue once it bleeds into July…assuming that there will still be new anime premiering that month. Really, the safest bet is Fall 2020 being the first “normal” season since this past Winter.

Regarding future seasonal editorials, it is entirely possible that everything will get delayed at some point this season. And if there really is nothing new, I guess I will have no choice but to skip a planned editorial. But so long as something gets farther in its release schedule by the next editorial date, I’ll still write about that editorial.
