I really wanted to alternate between up to five shows, I really haven’t done something like in a long while now, but I haven’t been able to pull it off. Maybe in the near future, I’ll try again. For now though, I decided that I’ll tackle the backlog one show at a time. Hence me focusing on Laid-Back Camp Season 2 last month before moving onto Yuki Yuna is a Hero. In the interest of transparency, I’ve listed down next handful of backlogged shows I want to cover. I’ll mostly be covering the shows in that order. As always, the list is subject to change.

There are two asterisks to this approach. One is that I won’t necessarily restrict myself to one show. For example, I’d like to re-edit and re-date my old Love Live! posts before I finish BOCCHI so that way, I can just move onto the episodes I haven’t seen before. So for whatever reason, you might see me jump around with the order in which I cover these shows. The second asterisk is that I’m not including OVAs and movies in the list. While I do plan on covering any that’s relevant to my episode reviews, my objective is to finally get the TV series or seasons done. I can save anything extra for a rainy day. Case in point, I moved onto to Yuki Yuna after finishing Laid-Back Camp Season 2 even though I still need to see the latter show’s OVAs and movie.

I dedicated my February vacation to covering Laid-Back Camp and Yuki Yuna. Thank you to anyone who’s been reading those posts. It’s been fun writing them and making up for lost time. About the only potential roadblock I had was jury duty on Feb. 21st but I didn’t get picked so I had free time to write something. I wanted to finish both shows last month but while I only finished Laid-Back Camp, I’m happy to have made as much progress as I did.

Regarding Yuki Yuna, the only things I have left after Great Mankai Chapter are the Club Member and Churutto! short series. I don’t think I’d those in episode reviews however as I believe they’re short chibi-style gag comedies and I don’t believe they’re part of the main canon.

Regarding Love Live!, I had considered last month to keep Nijigasaki on hold to start Superstar!! as the latter is coming back for a full season. I ultimately decided to finish Nijigasaki Season 1 first before moving on to Superstar!! I plan on tackling both shows by the order they aired and I like to be done before Superstar!! S3 premieres. I am considering covering some episodes in bullet point. I’ve refrained from doing that for backlogged shows as I feel this need to give the coverage my all since it’s already late but considering the amount of Love Live! I need to consume, I think some flexibility is in order. And yeah, S3 is presumably months away but between work and other stuff, it’ll also premiere before I know it so I may need to speed things up just to be safe. Maybe for Nijigasaki S1, I’ll hold off on writing in bullet point and consider the format for the next three seasons. We’ll see. I know the Yohane spin-off is premiering in July. I don’t know if I’ll cover that, though. I haven’t seen Sunshine!! and I had only intended to cover the series that started airing since I started the blog. But again, we’ll see.

In other news, I recently made all of my Blend S reviews public again. Before, it was just the first three episodes but I decided to make the rest public last month because why not. Some of the episodes were originally covered together in a multi-episode review, which I’m not fond of. I now have a personal mandate that each episode has to have their own post. However, I actually separated my thoughts on each episode so they’ve been reposted and backdated in their own blog posts.

Meanwhile, I’ve privatized my episode reviews for March comes in a like a Lion S2 and The Ancient Magus’ Bride. I’ve long been thinking that I’d like for my portfolio of episode reviews to mostly consist of shows that aired since I started the blog and if anything pre-dates it, I have to cover it all the way from the beginning. I didn’t do that for the aforementioned two shows so I decided to privatize my episode reviews for them. I’ll admit that I’m not quite as confident in that decision as I am with other posts I’ve privatized so I might change my mind in the future.

Video Games

Here’s the next Genshin Impact guide/reviews I plan on writing or updating:

  • Kamisato Ayaka (Updating)
  • Shenhe (Updating)
  • Diluc
  • Jean
  • Keqing (Updating)
  • Mona (Updating)
  • Qiqi

The list is not in any particular order and is subject to change. Obviously, I’m updating my Ayaka and Shenhe posts as they’ll be rerunning in Version 3.5. I haven’t written a guide/review for Cyno though I don’t know if I’ll get to it before he’s locked away in the miHoYo fault. I also have no idea for Dehya as I haven’t gotten her to C6 (but boy is there a lot to talk about with her kit).

Last night while clowning pulling for Dehya, I finally got my Mona to C6 so at long last, I’ll finish covering the original five standard 5-Star characters. That said, me getting Mona to C6 has honestly been one of the last things that has kept me playing Genshin so now what do I do with the game? I don’t see myself quitting from playing and whaling just yet but I can see myself downscaling things with Genshin over the next couple of patches. As to how that’ll affect the guides/reviews, my anime blogging, or the blog in general, only time will tell.

Other than Genshin, I started playing Nikke: Goddess of Victory last month. I plan on writing a review for the game. I would like to be all caught up on the campaign but due to the power level restriction, I might go “screw it” and give my impressions on what I’ve managed to beaten. Currently, I don’t have plan on writing guides for any individual character. Meanwhile, I’ve put Tower of Fantasy on hold. Playing all three of these gachas was too much for me so something that to go. I currently have no idea when I’ll get back to the game, let alone when I’ll write posts for it again.
