Managed to write seven First Impressions this season; wanted to write an eighth one though I was honestly grasping at straws as the premiere floodgates closed and I wasn’t feeling well towards the end of it so whatever. I’m pretty happy with the amount I winged out.

I’m currently three episodes into Metallic Rouge; been giving it a tryout but I haven’t felt super confident in it, hence the question mark above. I can see myself changing course on Episode 4 at the earliest and Episode 6 or 7 at the latest. Doing that will mean I have to find some other show, however and if it’s seasonal, I’ll have to catch up on it quickly.

As for the backlogged stuff, I’m a lot further in Love Live! School Idol Project than I expected, thanks to me sacrificing an optimal sleep schedule and managing to write after work on weekdays. I’d like to cover one more episode on a weekday so that I can save the rest of Season 1 on weekends and get to Season 2 during my vacation later this month. Assuming all goes according to plan, I should reach Season 2 Episode 7 by the end of the month.

I’ll be reviving my Granblem episode reviews this month. I really want to finish covering the show this month but now that I’ve actually scheduled posts in for February and accounted for Metallic Rouge or whatever seasonal show I ultimately stick with, I can only fit in 6 episodes. Episodes 1-3 are technically done but I’d need to cover Episodes 4-7 on weekdays before vacation and that might not be feasible. I guess we’ll see what happens. Still, it’ll be fun to go back to the show and finally make some progress in covering it.

Haven’t gotten around to anything else in the backlog. I definitely need to get to the Laid-Back Camp Movie this month or the next as Season 3 is premiering in April but I don’t know when I’ll get to the rest. It’s possible I’ll still be chipping away at it after Winter 2024. That said, I still plan on making March the last month where I’m regularly tackling the backlog. For Spring 2024, I don’t intend on covering a backlogged show every weekend like I have been the past couple seasons and any more catch up will become more of an irregular thing.

  1. No worries! Just post when you can, there’s no pressure. I totally know what you mean, work has gotten a little hectic for me recently, and I’ve been falling behind on some of the seasonal anime. Sometimes it can be tough to keep up. Not only do I like keeping up with seasonal anime so I can chat with the rest of the aniblogging community, I also like writing creative anime blog posts that take a unique look at anime series, and sometimes (like right now) I draw a complete blank and have no idea what I’m going to write about. I try not to get too stressed about it, because I’m doing this for fun and I know that every aniblogger goes through this too.
