Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, everybody! I hope everyone is safe and doing well today. May 2019 be a great year for everyone!

Thank you to everyone who supported to my blog in 2018, be it leaving a like, leaving a comment, becoming a Follower, or just simply visiting my site. I’m about halfway through my second year of blogging and it still stuns me to know that people stop by and even read my writings. Just wow. Thank you!

I don’t really have a personal New Year’s resolution (well, write a book but I’d rather not get into that right now) but I do hope to make 2019 count for the blog. 2018 was honestly a very rough year for me a first due to college and naturally, blogging took a hit as a result. The year did pick up for me once I was able to blog more productively, not to mention getting hired for a job but even then, I just know my output could be a lot better. I could very well screw the pooch again in 2019 (in which case, no one please dig this post up when it’s 2020) but we’ll see how it goes.

Oh but enough about me. It’s New Years and with that comes a lot of nifty, celebratory art from the anime and games industry. Below are all my favorites that I’ve found. Enjoy!

  1. Ack – what anime is that in your header image? I *should* know it! And of course, as soon as I type that it springs to mind – Harakuna Receive!

My wife wants that stuffed Chickuwa *so* badly.

    1. I try to use something from the then-current year for these featured images. Last New Year’s, I used a screencap from Maid Dragon. I probably could’ve done a more “famous” 2018 anime but I really dug Harukana Receive and that show surprisingly went unnoticed so I decided to go with a screencap from its New Year’s scene.

I don’t get why they don’t just make a Chikuwa plush. Like, I’ll take the Rin Nendoroid but do the producers not want more money?
